One event that you should definitely buy tickets for is the Pink Martini concert. Now this is definitely the best example for a culturally rich show. Pink Martini has been around since 1994 and they have been performing jazz concerts, classical music, Jazz music, Cuban Music, and Orchestra Music to suit variety of tastes. Their special album “Sympathique” has sold over 1.4 million copies world wide. They are famous not only in the United States, but all over the world as they have performed in various countries such as France, Switzerland, Monaco, Greece, Portugal, Belgium, Turkey, Lebanon and Peru. They have been a phenomenon as a 12 person orchestra.
Pink Martini has also performed in various languages such as English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Greek. One can describe the Pink Martini as a cross between a Cuban Dance Orchestra and a Brazilian Street Band. Even though you may never have watched Pink Martini, you have probably heard their music on famous TV shows such as the Sopranos, West Wing and Dead Like Me. Their music has also been played in famous Hollywood movies such as Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
